The Advancement of Science and Technology in the Lives of Nigerians and World at Large.

Already figuring out the civilization and the modernized standard of living in our society today and how ease it got lives to be ( The 20’s Generation)

We shall consider the following ways it influence lives both positively and also on the negative aspect. Its on a true side that “ every advantage must have a disadvantage thereof.”

FORMS

* Communication:

Advantage: The advancement of science and Technology has made life less stressed in the aspect of reaching out to people, despite where there are located. Mobile communication helps a lot.

Disadvantage: It ease access to bad people to reach one through contacts.

*Banking System/Financial Activities:

Advantage:

It helps the society in having digital saving with clearly stated details. And security of their money and also in an Investment for Interest and profits.

Disadvantage: It’s effective negatively as some various banking agencies are involving in frauds thereby stealing from people’s savings.

*Security:

Advantage: There have been a systematic methods of monitoring lives and properties And also with some various agencies, gadgets and weapons.

Disadvantage: The Agencies turning against their duties thereby creating Violence and riot with the citizen. In which they are now diverting from their primary assignments.

*Transportation/ Traffic Control:

Advantage: Through the advancement of science and Technology, the mode of which people convey had been on the fast and easier aspect…..with regards to the mediums of transportation system. Also traffic equipment/agencies has been put in their various places to regulate movement.

Disadvantage: Various accidents and death in the society due to carelessness and negligence of the traffic rules and regulations. The transporters failed to assimilate the traffic controls.

*Healthcare services:

Advantage: There’s now opportunities to quick health care activities, Lives recovery and quick operational activities through various therapeutical theories and formulas. Also an important role in Child delivery process and in various surgical operations.

Disadvantage: Its very obvious that there has been female death case of about 30-40%…due to attempt to an Abortion and some drugs abuses.

Plastic surgery which leads to veins destruction.

*Internet services/ Information and Communication Technology (ICT):

Advantage: We have all seen and witnessed everything happening on Internet now, website had regenerated everything, everywhere. Now learning are done through Internet, online market, online banking etc. Isn’t it great? O yes! It is.

Disadvantage: With that , it also influences the society negatively….As our youth channels thier concentration on the porn’s site , which is destructive….both psychological and otherwise. Some are engaged in online fraud Etc.

*Media/Cinema:

Advantage:

Various display of comics, music etc. Everything fun , Flexible and enjoying. Nollywood, Bollywood and Hollywood playing some roles, characters of lifestyles and models.

Disadvantage: A lot of our young breed’s are now living an ” I wanna be” lifestyle. Developing a mindset of wanting to live a life of someone else display. Hmm!…. Instead of focusing on their own God’s giving goals.. Living a fake life, Slaying And Half dressing/ Half naked lifestyle.

*Education/Training:

Advantage: Science and Technology has really transformed the level of the academic system in the society mostly in the highly civilized areas. Students are freely accessible in learning through gadgets And standard lectures tutorials (Digital Education). And also Books that highly impacts them. Most Libraries now are operating with computers.

*Agricultural relevant:

Disadvantage: In some cases, using of Gadgets by students might really alter their instinct for studying through text books…Because they feel its stress. Now so far, even reading of Bible are done through Gadgets. With the mindset of avoiding the stress with opening Bible..

Advantages:

Provision of tractors,bulldozers ,incubators, herbicides etc Has really make farming system so amazing and easy to flow, get faster and inculcate modern farming methods.

Disadvantage:

To the facts of various available machineries.. We are becoming lazy to some extend…because machines are helping us .

We benefitted a lot with regards to the advancement of Science and Technology. It must influence each and everyone of the society in one way or the other.
